We are students from NC Hillel of UNC-Chapel Hill planning an alternative spring break trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Our project is putting the finishing touches on a school that lost funding after the economic collapse in 2001 and working directly with children in the Jewish community. We will be joined by ten Virginia Tech students and one student from American University. The group’s full title is Piece by Peace: Building, Helping, Supporting”, which represents our three main goals in this endeavor. This blog will be updated regularly with information about our fundraising efforts, profiles of each of the students involved and our program director, Sheila Katz, and eventually journal entries from our experience in Buenos Aires.
