I have been to Argentina before and jumped at the opportunity to return. I was personally lost in a bad area down there and have witnessed the destruction and dilapidation of the area after the economic crises. I want to help aid a country which has had such a large impact on my life.

Participating in this Alternative Spring Break trip is very important to me. I believe it is important to help other people especially Jews around the world who are less fortunate than me. Also, I love traveling and visiting and experiencing new places and their culture.

I am interested in learning more about the effects of the economic collapse in 2001 and experiencing the conditions of poverty in and around Buenos Aires. It would be wonderful if our trip inspired other Jewish youth to seek out community service opportunities.

I learned about this trip during one of the first weeks of school last fall, and since then I have been very excited to go on it. I am studying to become a doctor so helping those in need is very important to me, and I am lucky to have this opportunity. I am also looking forward to traveling around Buenos Aires.
